About the hostel

The Pontal Hostel is located in the most quiet part of Rio de Janeiro – Brazil, in front of Macumba Beach, one of the best surfing spots in Rio. Surrounded by nature, the hostel is also near the most beautiful beaches, waterfalls and trails where the guests can do mind-blowing rides and enjoy the natural beauties of the west area of the Wonderful City.

The hostel has a pretty garden with a pool, lounge with cable TV, hammocks on the porchs, a internal area with a hall where the breakfast is served. The hall has a barbecue, a woodstove and a complete kitchen with cook-top, refrigerator and microwave.

The hostel doesn´t offer room service and other tipical hotel services. Bed linen and towels are provided and exchanged according to the kind of room. (see below)

Collective Rooms

The Collective Rooms are friendly 4-7 person rooms, with bunk beds or twin beds, which are rented individualistically just like every traditional hostel. But with a significant difference: All our rooms have air conditioning and a exclusive bathroom that is shared just amongst guests of each room.
Bed linen and towels are provided once, and is charged a fee in case of exchange.

Privative Rooms

All Privative Rooms have ocean view, double bed and accomodate up to 3 person with an extra bed, except the Family Room which accomodates up to 5 person confortably. Those rooms have cable TV, lockers, air conditioning with no restrictions and a private bathroom. The Master and Family rooms have a fridge.
Bed linen and towels are provided and periodically exchanged as needed.
